Do you consider this to be an act of terrorism? According to the definition of terrorism, it is “the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.” I think it was an act of terrorism because it was premediated and the gunman had an intention to harm people with the use of violence. Most importantly this was against law.
What role should social media companies play in policing their platforms? Social Media Companies should not allow people to post these type of things right away because then it spreads more negativity among other people. They should see if its appropriate for the public to see and also they should allow only government agencies to look at those type of videos to make things more safer.
In your opinion, why do people “share” this content? Does the sharing of this information contribute to “hate”? Some people share videos to get more views and for fun or entertainment. But some people share it to spread awareness among people, so that other people in the world knows what’s happening and how they are not safe at any place. According to my opinion, these types of videos contributes to “hate” because when young generation watch these type of videos, they often feel hate towards other communities and religions. Also, it encourages other people to do these type of things.
Do you think that first person video games encourage this type of violence? Do you think these games should be banned? Why or Why not? I think some video games have a content that encourages some people to act violently. I heard that some kids tried to suicide and killed themselves because of a video game. And I think that these type of video games should be banned because they spread hate and negativity. Also, parents should be aware more about these type of things.
